Welcome to Adopted Dog Brewing
Crafting Brews and Making Friends in Lafayette
As passionate craft beer enthusiasts who travel far and wide in search of great beer and the breweries that create them, we knew it was time for Lafayette to have a brewery of its own! Our founder, Ryan Pécot, has visited over 185 breweries to date and gathered a wealth of knowledge on the good (and sometimes bad) of craft beer culture. This experience fueled a deep desire to bring Lafayette its very own brewery.
The story of how Adopted Dog Brewing came to be is about more than just beer. Ryan and his wife are huge advocates for pet adoption, having adopted three dogs themselves – with the first being Tchoupitoulas, our namesake.
The brewery's journey started by chance, after our founder popped a tire (a BF Goodrich to be exact) and stumbled upon the building that would become our home while waiting for the tire to be repaired. One of original brews is a testament to that fateful day - named $1M BFG, a playful nod to the fact that opening the brewery ended up costing far more than just the tire!
When you step inside, you'll notice our brewhouse vessels are intentionally placed front and center, right behind the bar, allowing you to witness (and smell) the brewing process up close. We take pride in serving craft beer brewed in-house, paired with a food menu to complement the 18 beers offered on tap.
Ryan's son has accompanied him to many of his brewery visits during their travels, enhancing his love for this industry. That’s why it was so important to us to create a family-friendly environment—and we mean the whole family, dogs included! Our adopted dogs are just as important to us as yours are to your family, and we encourage visitors to bring their pups along. It makes the brewery a happier place to enjoy a beer.
When you come to Adopted Dog Brewing, you'll find a full range of beer offerings. We believe in serving more than just the trendy styles of the moment. You can expect a wide variety of classic beer styles with our brewmaster’s unique twist, along with small-batch and seasonal releases that rotate frequently.
We look forward to you visiting Adopted Dog Brewing!
